Over the next few days, I explored the must-see attractions that made Stockholm an unforgettable destination.

1. Gamla Stan (Old Town)

Exploring the Heart of Stockholm

My journey began in Gamla Stan, the heart of Stockholm. As I wandered through its narrow, cobblestone streets, I was surrounded by buildings painted in warm, vibrant colors, many dating back to the 13th century. The atmosphere was charming, with quaint cafes and shops lining the streets.

One of the first places I visited was Stortorget, the main square of Gamla Stan. This bustling area was home to beautiful historical buildings, including the Nobel Museum. A short walk from Stortorget led me to the Royal Palace. As I approached, I was struck by its grand facade. The palace is one of the largest in Europe and serves as the official residence of the Swedish monarch. I joined a guided tour that took us through the impressive rooms, including the lavish Hall of State and the Royal Apartments.
